Job summary

The Northern Manufacturing Co., Inc in Oak Harbor, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – CAD & DFM to join our hands-on production team. You will review designs for manufacturability, develop CAD models in SolidWorks, and collaborate with welders, machinists, and QA to ensure parts are produced accurately, efficiently and cost-effectively.

Qualifications

• Strong 3D CAD skills and ability to interpret parts, assemblies, and production drawings.
• Understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Review designs for manufacturability and identify potential production issues.
• Develop and modify CAD drawings and models using SolidWorks.
• Recommend practical DFM solutions with customers and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems on the shop floor and support process improvements.
• Collaborate with welders, machinists, and QA to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling, and workflows.
