Job summary

Anchor Fabrication in Denton, TX is seeking an Engineer Tech to perform drafting and programming tasks. You will use Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, and AutoCAD to develop and adjust parts, and you will work with TruTops Inch, Striker, and AP100 to run programs.

You’ll also create Excel sheets, support shop operations, and travel for training when required. You will read blueprints, unfold flat patterns, and clearly communicate instructions to operators.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with three years of shop experience.
• Education level noted as 2 year degree on application.

Responsibilities

• Operate Inventor or SolidWorks to modify parts and drawings.
• Use AutoCAD for drafting tasks and updates.
• Run programs in TruTops Inch, Striker, AP100 as needed.
• Create Excel spreadsheets to organize data.
• Support the manufacturing shop and multi-task on projects.
• Communicate clearly with operators of varying skill levels.
• Read formed drawings and unfold flat patterns mentally.
• Travel for training when required.
• Report non-conforming product with authority.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performing tasks inside of Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks
• Performing tasks inside of Autocad
• Performing tasks and creating programs inside of TruTops Inch, Striker, and AP100
• Creating Excel Spreadsheets when needed.
• Support the Manufacturing Shop when needed
• Being able to multitask on multiple jobs/projects that can change at any time.
• Ability to convey information to operators with a lesser skill level.
• Take a formed drawing and mentally unfold the flat pattern.
• Travel Requirements: When needed for training purposes.
• Has the Authority and Responsibility to report non-conforming product

Accountability

• Timely responsive reports and documents
• Specified accurate inspections and measurements of the part geometry.

• Understanding the shop process flow.
• Having Brake, Laser, or Punch Experience is a plus
• Willing to work overtime when needed.
• Willing to work an eight, nine, or ten hour shift within the following hours. (4:30 AM till 6:00 PM.)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• A high school diploma or equivalent along with three years of shop experience.
