Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Ocala, FL seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement processes, layouts, and digital work instructions for assemblies and equipment installation. You will drive automation adoption, analyze 3D model data, and apply SPC techniques to improve cost, quality, and efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical or Aerospace Eng., several years in manufacturing, and US citizenship. The job emphasizes collaboration across design, process, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.
• Previous manufacturing engineering experience
• This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen
• 3 years minumum CCA manufacturing experience in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 OR 3 years minumum Cable and Harness manufacturing experience in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, CAx software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
• Leverage understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
• Evaluate performance of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
• Leverage factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
• Provide input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
