Job summary

Daher Kodiak Aircraft in Sandpoint, ID seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to translate design intent into repeatable, efficient manufacturing processes and to own critical build sequences.

You will work hands-on with mechanics, improve line flow, perform DFM analysis, and drive design-for-manufacturing changes across fabrication and final assembly, with strong CAD and ERP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Hands-on experience with machining, sheet metal, welding, composites, and assemblies.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to read drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• ERP experience including eBOM/mBOM reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with mechanics to solve build problems and clarify processes.
• Redesign build sequences, work content, and line flow across fabrication to final assembly.
• Perform DFM analysis using CAD models and drawings.
• Author manufacturing prints or models traceable to design and fit-for-function.
• Drive design-for-manufacturing changes and reduce bottlenecks.
