Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer to lead advanced manufacturing for composite rocket motor hardware at the AMF-South facility. You’ll drive process development, manage cross‑functional projects, and mentor engineers while ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.

The role requires hands-on experience in fabrication, curing, tooling, and cross‑functional communication, with travel and potential security clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering with manufacturing experience or 10+ years of equivalent work.
• Ability to obtain US Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Willingness to travel around 5% to support suppliers and sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, cross‑functional, high‑visibility manufacturing projects.
• Lead process development, optimization, and troubleshooting for composite fabrication.
• Drive improvements in systems, workflows, and tooling concepts.
• Provide technical leadership to engineers and technicians across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality systems; support audits.
