Job summary

Hyliion is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead assembly process and equipment design within the Industrialization team. You will design lines, fixtures, and material flow, converting prototype builds into scalable production while driving waste reduction and productivity gains across complex value streams.

You will mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and manage capital equipment and automation efforts; expected to deliver improvements in cycle time, yield, and ergonomics while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in a manufacturing engineering role with complex assembly.
• Experience taking prototype builds into repeatable production.
• Strong knowledge of fixture, jig, and tooling design and GD&T.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design assembly lines, cells, and workstations for KARNO core and modules.
• Develop fixtures, jigs, and tooling from concept to qualification.
• Optimize material handling, kanban, and workflow to reduce touch time.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Mentor manufacturing engineers and lead design reviews.
• Manage capital equipment selection and automation projects.
• Document processes with PFMEAs, control plans, and routings.
