Qualifications

  • Four-year Mechanical Engineering Degree (BSME).
  • Expertise in bolted joint design and strategies.
  • Experience with Torque, Pressing Processes, and Gaging equipment.
  • Solid skills in communication and interpersonal relations.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude for analytical problem solving.
  • Knowledge of pressure decay leak testing.

Responsibilities

  • Strive for operational excellence through line balance.
  • Lead capital project planning and execution in assembly.
  • Create and update required process documentation.
  • Evaluate and update documents according to Process Change Requests.
  • Create specifications, recommendations and designs for tools and processes.
  • Test tools and processes.
  • Specify gaging techniques.
  • Keep abreast of developments in automated assembly.
  • Lead creation and updates to process flow and PFMEA.
  • Support other teams as required.

The Role

Responsible Engineer for automated and manual assembly equipment in the daily production of high quality drivetrain components by providing technical information, documentation, support, and guidance, and by participating as a cross-functional team member to help resolve issues relating to assembly.

What You’ll Do
  • Strive for operational excellence through line balance, and station efficiencies
  • Lead capital project planning and execution in assembly.
  • Create and update required process documentation.
  • Evaluate and update documents according to Process Change Requests (PCR’s).
  • Create specifications, recommendations and designs for tools, fixtures, gages, equipment, and processes.
  • Test tools, fixtures, gages, equipment, and processes.
  • Specify gaging techniques.
  • Keep abreast of latest developments in automated assembly and manufacturing field.
  • Lead creation and updates to process flow and PFMEA
  • Support other teams as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Profile

Four-year Mechanical Engineering Degree (BSME)

Expertise in bolted joint design and strategies.

Experience with Torque, Pressing Processes, and Gaging equipment.

Candidates must demonstrate solid skills in communication, interpersonal relations, and ability to inspire individuals to improve performance

Proven mechanical aptitude for analytical problem solving
