Job summary

Bionano in California seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to own manufacturing cost accounting, inventory control, and cost-of-goods-sold processes in Microsoft Dynamics 365. The role reports to the CAO and partners with Operations and Finance to close books accurately and on time.

Responsibilities include manufacturing cost close, standard costing, inventory controls, variance analysis, and process improvements, with SOX support and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial hands-on responsibility for cost accounting and inventory in a manufacturing environment.
• Direct, hands-on experience using inventory and manufacturing functionality within an ERP system.
• Experience owning core cost accounting activities during the monthly and quarterly close.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 inventory, manufacturing, and costing modules.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Close: manage weekly, monthly, quarterly close including variances and reconciliations.
• Standard Costing: support and eventually own standard cost process reflecting costs in ERP.
• Inventory Accounting and Controls: oversee physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Variance and Cost Analysis: analyze variances to identify drivers.
• Issue Resolution and Process Improvement: identify root causes and implement improvements.
• Compliance and Audit Support: SOX owner for inventory/manufacturing controls and audits.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance.
• Other Duties as Assigned.
