Job summary

Captek International is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced CMO environment specializing in vitamins, minerals, and dietary supplements. You will own standard costs, BOMs, and routing data while analyzing variances and supporting pricing strategies.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing cost accounting, strong ERP experience (NetSuite/SAP/Oracle), advanced Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate with Operations, R&D, and Sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years cost accounting experience in manufacturing (VMS, pharma, nutraceuticals, or food & beverage).
• Strong understanding of standard costing, BOMs, inventory control, and ERP systems (NetSuite, SysPro, SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally with operations, R&D, and sales teams.
• Experience with process manufacturing or batch production is a plus.
• Minimal travel to SoCal plants for support.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costs, BOMs, and routing data.
• Analyze variances (labor, material, overhead) and recommend actions.
• Perform monthly inventory valuation and reconcile accounts.
• Review and finalize variances, purchase price variances, and scrap.
• Prepare journal entries and COGS analysis for monthly close.
• Forecast manufacturing costs with Operations and Supply Chain.
• Generate weekly production and inventory reports.
• Assist in annual budgets and cost roll-ups.
• Support audits and internal controls.
