Job summary

Fireye seeks an experienced Senior Accountant to join the Finance team in Derry, NH. You will handle general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and manufacturing cost accounting, reporting to the Controller. Five+ years in manufacturing accounting is preferred.

Responsibilities include inventory management, variance analysis, audits support, and process improvements. This is a full-time, on-site role partnering with Finance, Operations, and Production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience with general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal accounting controls.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills across Finance, Operations, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end adjustments.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.
• Prepare daily sales monitoring report and management reporting.
• Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support internal and external audit activities, including schedules and documentation.
• Maintain GAAP compliance and internal control requirements.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, standard costs, BOMs, and variances.
• Oversee inventory accounting activities including cycle counts and valuations.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Partner with Operations to resolve variances and improve efficiency.
• Support ERP improvements (IFS) and data integrity.
