Job summary

MP Biomedicals, a global life science company headquartered in California with a Solon, OH office, is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller. The role oversees month-end close, cost accounting, inventory management, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering with operations to drive efficiency and profitability.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 5+ years in accounting (manufacturing preferred), and CPA consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• CPA encouraged or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Ensure accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
• Analyze financial results and explain variances from budget and forecast.
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures documentation.
