Job summary

Teknor Apex Company in Rhode Island is seeking aSenior Manufacturing Solutions Engineer to design, develop, and deploy software that enhances manufacturing operations, quality systems, and supply chain performance. You will lead enterprise applications architecture and mentor developers, while embracing agentic AI development.

The role requires strong software engineering skills, experience with ERP/MES integrations, and hands-on work across web, desktop, cloud, and API-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing and developing enterprise software applications.
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents and LLM-assisted development (e.g., Codex, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar tools).
• Experience with SQL databases, REST APIs, and system integrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software for manufacturing and business operations.
• Lead architecture and design of enterprise apps, integrations, and data solutions.
• Develop web, desktop, mobile, cloud, and API-based solutions as needed.
• Adopt agentic programming practices and oversee AI-generated code for quality and security.
• Design AI agent workflows to automate development tasks and data workflows.
• Establish coding standards and documentation for agent-generated code.
• Ensure scalable, secure, maintainable solutions aligned with tech strategy.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance for digital transformation.
• Develop and support ERP, MES, quality, warehouse, and production system integrations.
• Mentor developers and analysts; lead project teams.
