Job summary

Apperture Solutions in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy secure AI solutions for industrial operations, including LLM agents, RAG, and workflow co-pilots. You will translate manufacturing needs into scalable software across edge, cloud, and hybrid environments.

You will collaborate with operations, OT, IT, cybersecurity, and business teams to deliver production-grade AI capabilities, with emphasis on data contracts, governance, and maintainable code.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years of professional AI/ML, software engineering, or data science experience with production solutions.
• Experience taking AI/ML capabilities from problem definition to deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Experience with Git, code review, automated tests, and agile execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of production-grade AI apps including LLM agents and RAG systems.
• Translate workflows and user needs into technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Design agent architectures using LangChain/LangGraph and MCP interfaces.
• Develop enterprise retrieval using embeddings, vector stores, semantic search, and knowledge graphs.
• Use AI development tools with datasets, test harnesses, guardrails, and monitoring.
• Package and operate solutions as secure, containerized services across cloud/edge/on-premises.
