Job summary

US Mobile is seeking a Senior Manual QA Engineer in New York, NY. The role focuses on testing modern web-based SaaS and mobile applications through thorough manual testing in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will design and execute test plans, validate REST APIs with Postman, and run SQL validations to ensure data integrity, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manual software testing experience.
• Experience testing SaaS web applications.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience testing REST APIs using Postman.
• Strong SQL skills for database validation.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Execute database queries to verify backend data and troubleshoot issues.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution using Jira or similar tools.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA teammates throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Reproduce customer-reported issues and verify bug fixes.
• Continuously improve testing processes and ensure high-quality releases.
