Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Senior QA Engineer focused on manual testing for mobile apps on Android and iOS. You will ensure quality across complex banking workflows, API integrations, and production-like environments.

You will design and execute test cases, analyze logs and metrics, and mentor mid-level QA engineers. Experience with Jira, Xray, ELK/Splunk, and monitoring tools is expected; banking domain exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software QA with strong manual testing expertise.
• Hands-on testing for Android and iOS apps across devices and OS versions.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Practical API testing experience using Postman or similar tools.
• Strong test design skills and ability to maintain test docs.
• Experience with Xray, Jira, and defect tracking systems.
• Ability to analyze logs with ELK Stack, Kibana, Splunk or similar.
• Familiarity with Grafana and AppDynamics for monitoring.
• Mentoring or supporting other QA engineers; banking/f financial domain exposure is a plus.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

The role focuses on ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of mobile banking functionality, with particular attention to complex user scenarios, API integrations, and production-like environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of Android and iOS applications across different devices, operating system versions, permissions, and network conditions
• Test complex business scenarios, including payments, money transfers, authentication, and other financial workflows
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing
• Perform API testing and validate interactions between mobile applications and backend services
• Analyze application logs, network requests, monitoring data, and application metrics to investigate issues
• Design, maintain, and execute test cases and test documentation
• Register, track, verify, and manage defects throughout their lifecycle
• Participate in release activities, defect triage, and quality assessments
• Use monitoring and observability tools to support troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Mentor and support Middle-level QA engineers, sharing testing practices and technical expertise

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with strong expertise in manual testing
• Hands-on experience testing Android and iOS applications
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, smoke, and exploratory testing
• Practical experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools
• Strong test design skills and experience maintaining test documentation
• Experience with test management tools such as Xray and defect tracking systems such as Jira, or equivalent
• Ability to analyze application logs using ELK Stack, Kibana, Splunk, or similar tools
• Familiarity with Grafana and application performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify edge cases and investigate complex issues
• Experience mentoring or supporting other QA engineers
• Banking or financial services experience is an advantage
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher
