Job summary

H-E Parts International is seeking a skilled machinist to perform a range of machining operations on metal parts. You will read engineering drawings, select tools, set up mills and lathes, monitor speeds and feeds, and verify parts meet design specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent heavy machining experience with metals and strong math and blueprint reading skills.
• 2-year Associate Degree from a technical/trade school is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining notes to determine dimensions, tolerances and finish.
• Operate mills, lathes, drill presses and other machining equipment.
• Set up and test production equipment and fixtures.
• Observe machines to diagnose malfunctions and adjust as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work cell and record daily operations.
