Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Senior Manual/Functional QA Tester (ATM) in Plano, TX. The role focuses on functional/manual testing, regression planning, UAT facilitation, and device/ATM lab testing in a hybrid onsite environment.

The ideal candidate will perform regression suites, document defects thoroughly, and collaborate with business partners to achieve acceptance. Start in November; onsite at least 3 days/week, with sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• Experience with functional/manual testing and regression planning.
• Proficient in Agile practices and test management/defect tracking tools.
• Ability to define Epics/Stories and create maintainable test assets.
• Hands-on device testing in ATM lab environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute regression tests for ATM releases covering software, hardware, and firmware.
• Develop test plans, cases/scripts, and document results with reproduction steps.
• Log defects in Jira with clear steps to reproduce.
• Install software builds, prepare data, and ready lab environments for testing.
• Perform exploratory and UAT testing with business partners for acceptance.
• Work onsite in a lab with ATM hardware and related devices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and refine epics, stories, and bugs.

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manual/Functional QA Tester (ATM) to join our team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in functional/manual testing, agile test management, and device/ATM lab testing and a proven ability to plan and execute regression suites, document defects with due diligence, and drive UAT acceptance with business partners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute regression tests for ATM application releases, including software, hardware, and firmware components.
• Develop test plans, test cases/scripts, and document results with clear reproduction steps.
• Troubleshoot issues, narrow defects to succinct steps, and log them in Jira.
• Install software builds, condition data, and assess test environment readiness for lab execution.
• Perform exploratory and UAT testing and collaborate with business partners for acceptance.
• Work onsite in a lab environment with ATM hardware and related devices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and refine Epics, Stories, and bugs with the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Functional/manual testing expertise with regression planning and execution.
• Proficiency with Agile practices and test management/defect tracking tools, including Jira.
• Ability to assess and refine Epics, Stories, and defects, and to produce clear, maintainable test assets.
• Hands‑on device testing in a lab environment, including ATM hardware interactions.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and independent decision‑making to move work forward.

Preferred Skills

• Experience testing user interfaces with data manipulation.
• Prior work with exploratory testing and UAT facilitation.

Engagement Details

Start month: November.

Onsite expectation: Hybrid, minimum 3 days onsite per week in Plano, TX.

Interviews: 1-2 rounds, video or in person.

Sponsorship: Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future.
