Exponent is seeking a Senior Managing Scientist (Regulatory) to lead regulatory strategy for complex client engagements and mentor multidisciplinary teams. Location is flexible with Natick, MA as a potential in-person site.

The role emphasizes business development, risk assessment, and high-level regulatory oversight across chemical regulation and product stewardship. You will develop clients, manage budgets, and ensure high-quality deliverables while mentoring junior staff and expanding

Qualifications

• B.S. degree is required; advanced degrees preferred in science-related field.
• 10+ years of EPA TSCA regulatory experience with chemicals.
• 10+ years of consulting or government regulatory experience.
• Proven ability to generate business and attract clients or funding.
• Strong background in regulatory compliance and risk assessment for product stewardship and sustainability.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to prepare/edit technical documents.
• Detail-oriented, independent, and good time management.
• Able to prioritize multiple projects and work in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with project management, budgeting and invoicing is a plus.
• Exposure to sensitive information requires tact and judgment.

• Mentor and develop technical staff and expand Exponent's regulatory presence.
• Develop clients through business development and marketing efforts.

• Manage project delivery, invoices, and budgets.
• Provide regulatory and technical review and quality control support.
• Synthesize technical and regulatory information for clients and regulators.
• Offer scientific peer review and guidance to junior staff.
