Exponent is seeking a Senior Managing Scientist for the Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice. Location is flexible.

You will provide strategic regulatory expertise and oversight for complex client engagements, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive growth through business development. You will mentor staff, expand Exponent's presence in regulatory marketplaces, and ensure high-quality deliverables across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree required; MS/PhD preferred in science field.
• 10+ years of EPA TSCA regulatory experience.
• 10+ years of consulting or government regulatory experience.
• Proven track record of business generation and client funding.
• Experience in regulatory compliance and risk assessment for product stewardship and sustainability.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory expertise and oversight for client engagements.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams and drive practice growth.
• Mentor and develop technical staff.
• Manage client projects, deliverables, invoices, and budgets.
• Provide regulatory and technical review and quality control.
• Synthesize regulatory information for clients and regulators.
