Job summary

Wood Mackenzie in Houston seeks a Managing Consultant to lead and deliver complex supply chain engagements for energy clients. You will develop insights from proprietary data, manage project scope, and drive strategic procurement decisions using WoodMac tools and ERP-enabled programs.

You will mentor Consultants/Senior Consultants, coordinate with IT, PMOs and engineering teams, and ensure QA/QC on deliverables while growing client relationships and revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with focus in engineering, science, supply chain or business.
• 5+ years in a Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering function; experience in Power & Renewables or Oil & Gas preferred.
• Exposure to IT or digital program environments is a plus (ERP implementations) but not required.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep analysis of quantitative and qualitative data and synthesize results for strategic procurement and capital decisions.
• Perform market research to assess supply and demand influencing client decisions.
• Support bidding processes for large capital projects including pricing analysis and bidder negotiations.
• Support sourcing and vendor selection for IT and digital programs, including RFP design and contract evaluation.
• Oversee junior team members and drive successful project execution.
• Coordinate with client stakeholders (supply chain, PMOs, engineering) to design and implement solutions.
• Use WoodMac tools to analyze spend, build cost models, forecast escalation, and support multiple consulting solutions.
