Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Consultant or Managing Consultant to help grow our State and Local Government practice, with a Missouri focus around Jefferson City. You will lead project delivery, mentor staff, and drive business development while working with state and local government clients.

The role requires strong project management, client service experience, and the ability to travel to engagements. Residency within the Missouri metro area is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 3+ years for Senior Consultant; 5+ years for Managing Consultant, ideally in consulting or related field.
• Demonstrate technology implementation skills and project management experience.
• Proven ability to deliver client services and meet delivery expectations.
• Ability to travel to client engagements as needed.
• Must reside within 50-mile radius of Jefferson City, MO, Kansas City, MO or St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead project delivery teams, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources across engagements.
• Serve as trusted advisor to state and local government clients; translate strategy into actionable solutions.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to junior- and mid-level staff.
• Drive and support business development efforts, including RFP responses and client presentations.
• Build and maintain relationships with client stakeholders and internal Guidehouse teams in Missouri.
• Translate strategy into action for clients.
