Job summary

Vanguard seeks an experienced workforce planning leader in the United States to hire, evaluate, and supervise crews while developing and refining enterprise workforce plans. You will lead analytics-driven strategies, build tools, and provide expert consultations to align talent with growth and capability needs.

The role emphasizes cross-functional consulting, data interpretation, and supervisory responsibilities, with a focus on strategic workforce planning and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years related work experience
• Three years of workforce planning, consulting, or data analysis and reporting experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Graduate degree preferred
• Expertise in workforce strategy, analytics, scenario modeling, and strategic talent planning
• Proficient in data interpretation, consulting engagements, workforce management tools, and translating business strategies into actionable workforce plans
• Must not require visa sponsorship; Vanguard is not offering visa sponsorship for this position

Responsibilities

• Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew
• Provide guidance and training to develop crew
• Set performance standards, review performance, and make compensation decisions in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures
• Lead workforce planning strategy using workforce analytics, human capital best practices, and business strategy
• Direct development and maintenance of workforce planning tools and templates
• Review, refine, and consolidate divisional workforce plans into an enterprise view
• Direct enterprise, divisional, and regional business consulting engagements and planning efforts
• Deploy support for workforce planning engagements based on business demand and resources
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide advanced consultations on workforce planning
• Collaborate with human resources partners to identify workforce planning opportunities, critical workforce segments, talent requirements, and new talent sources
• Create and maintain analytic capabilities for workforce planning consulting and reporting
• Build understanding of external macro-economic and human capital data
• Liaise with shared service partners to support human capital decisions
• Maintain expert understanding of workforce management tools, techniques, strategies, and practices
• Surface trends and implement changes to develop comprehensive workforce planning capability
• Conduct predictive modeling and what-if scenario planning
• Analyze future workforce needs against internal talent supply and external labor markets
• Design and refine workforce plans and supporting talent strategies aligned with organizational growth and capability needs
• Participate in special projects and perform other assigned duties
