Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. in San Francisco is seeking a Program Manager to oversee day-to-day administration of US and Canada health and welfare benefits. You will translate global benefits strategy into actionable US/Canada plans and ensure compliant design and execution.

You will manage vendor relationships, oversee data across HRIS and payroll, and drive process improvements while supporting a growing benefits team. The role includes governance and timely payments of invoices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience managing US&CA health and welfare and leave of absence benefits programs.
• Strong knowledge of US federal and state benefits regulations, compliance requirements, and governance practices.
• Proven experience managing vendors, brokers, and consultants.
• Experience working with benefits administration platforms, HRIS, and payroll integrations.
• Strong analytical, operational, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to manage complex programs at scale.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex benefits topics and influence stakeholders.
• Experience leading or supervising the work of benefits analysts or administrators.

Responsibilities

• Translate global benefits strategy into clear, executable US & Canada program plans, policies, and priorities.
• Recommend and implement US plan and policy design changes aligned with business needs, workforce strategy, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the work of more junior team members, including prioritization, training, and quality review.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of all US&C benefits invoices.
