IAT Insurance Group is seeking a Manager, Underwriting Support to lead Operations staff supporting the Management Liability segment from Rolling Meadows, IL. This role drives process improvement, workforce planning and cross functional alignment with underwriting leadership.

The position offers a hybrid schedule requiring in-office presence Monday through Wednesday with remote work Thursday and Friday, and opportunities to influence efficiency, accuracy and customer experience across

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of underwriting or insurance operations experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience, supervising a team.
• Strategic mindset with hands-on operations expertise.
• Strong leadership and change-management capabilities.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Project and process management skills.
• Deep understanding of underwriting workflows and systems.
• Excellent executive-level communication and stakeholder management.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop account managers and supervisors with clear goals and KPIs.
• Oversee underwriting support operations: new business set-up, policy issuance, renewals and endorsements.
• Ensure adherence to procedures, workflows and best practices while managing volumes.
• Own quality, risk, and compliance through audits, controls and remediation.
• Drive process improvement and transformation with technology partners and underwriting teams.
• Communicate performance, risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support budget planning and staffing through forecasting and resource optimization.
