Job summary

IAT Insurance Group is hiring for an Underwriting Support Associate Account Manager across several offices, including Rolling Meadows, IL. The role supports underwriters and liaises with agents, handling policy assembly and deadline-driven tasks in a hybrid setting (office Mon-Wed, remote Thu-Fri).

The ideal candidate will have insurance experience, strong MS Office skills, and excellent communication abilities to manage client needs and documentation efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Equivalent defined as having 2 years of relevant insurance experience.
• Strong math and problem-solving abilities.
• Mastery level PC and keyboarding skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication with internal and external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Detail-oriented and able to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
• Ability to organize, set and maintain priorities and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Enters schedules into proprietary rating systems.
• Maintains good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
• Prepares account service documents such as proposals and client communications.
• Assists in renewal process by reviewing for accuracy and making changes.
• Documents new business declines and non-renewals.
• Summarizes loss runs and reviews company correspondence for client applicability.
• Answers internal information requests and ensures documentation is filed for ease of access.
• Retrieves loss cost reports and property rating reports as needed for underwriters.
