Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to lead a team of professionals responsible for technical accounting research, application, and implementation. You will report to the Senior Director, Financial Reporting and ensure high-quality outcomes across complex contracts and disclosures.

The role emphasizes team development, coordination with Tax and Operations, and leadership in the adoption of new accounting standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with growth
• GAAP knowledge with experience defending position papers
• Experience leading accounting teams
• Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts to non-accounting audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of accounting professionals to deliver technical accounting outcomes
• Oversee analysis of complex contracts for accounting implications
• Draft accounting position papers and liaise with external auditors
• Research current and emerging accounting standards and advise leadership
• Oversee implementation of significant new accounting updates across the department
• Manage accounting areas like derivatives, HLBV, and tax credits
• Develop and improve accounting policies and procedures
• Coordinate with auditors and cross-functional teams on disclosures
