Invenergy, a leading energy company headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Financial Reporting Senior Accountant I to support the annual audit process and GAAP disclosures. The role collaborates with the Financial Reporting Senior Manager and external auditors.

The position emphasizes strong technical accounting, financial reporting skill, audit readiness, and coordination across accounting, tax, treasury, and legal teams at Invenergy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred.
• At least 3 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Draft annual audited financial statements for wind, solar, and thermal projects.
• Prepare GAAP footnote disclosures and audit support schedules.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal teams to gather data.
• Support monthly and quarterly close and audit readiness.
• Review accounting policies and ensure GAAP compliance.
