Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting to serve as the subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.

You will evaluate, document, and advise on complex accounting matters, lead technical accounting research, and report to the Assistant Corporate Controller, Technical Accounting & External Reporting at the Cranberry Township, PA site with a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• CPA certification is required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with technical accounting responsibility.
• Expertise in U.S. GAAP and experience researching/applying guidance to complex transactions.
• Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda, white papers, and position papers.
• Experience working directly with external auditors on technical accounting matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on technical accounting across the organization.
• Research complex accounting issues and determine appropriate accounting treatment for transactions.
• Develop and maintain company accounting policies with consistent application.
• Monitor regulatory developments (FASB, SEC, PCAOB) and assess impacts.
• Lead implementation of new accounting standards and disclosures.
