Job summary

You will evaluate complex accounting matters, lead technical research, and drive policy development while reporting to the Assistant Corporate Controller, Technical Accounting & External Reporting. The role is based in Cranberry Township with a hybrid work schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• CPA certification required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience with technical accounting responsibility.
• Expertise in U.S. GAAP and experience researching and applying accounting guidance to complex business transactions
• Experience preparing technical accounting memoranda, white papers, and position papers.
• Experience working directly with external auditors on technical accounting matters.

Responsibilities

• Be the subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and new accounting standards.
• Lead research on complex accounting issues and determine appropriate accounting treatment for transactions.
• Develop company accounting policies and ensure consistent application across the organization.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess impacts to the company.
• Lead implementation efforts for new accounting standards and disclosures.
• Partner with Financial Reporting on SEC comments and responses.
