General Motors is seeking an experienced communications leader to transform how we tell our sales, financial and technology stories to business, financial and investor audiences.

This Senior Manager, Financial Communications – Technology and Innovation will bridge Wall Street and Silicon Valley, communicating GM’s work in AI, autonomous tech, robotics, software and EVs with clarity and impact.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in communications, PR and/or investor relations with financial storytelling
• Experience with large public companies, financial institutions or agencies with investor visibility
• Deep fluency in financial communications including earnings, guidance and capital allocation
• Proven experience communicating on AI, autonomous tech, robotics, software and EVs

Responsibilities

• Translate financial performance, guidance and sales results into clear narratives
• Partner with IR, Finance, Sales and Tech comms to connect financials to tech strategies
• Define GM's financial/tech comms strategy across channels and measure impact
• Create high-impact content: press releases, speeches, investor explainers, social/video content
• Design proactive media/influencer engagement to position GM as tech leader
• Coordinate with Corporate Communications, IR, Marketing and Legal for accuracy and compliance
• Provide issues/reputation management support related to financials and tech investments
• Coach team members and share best practices in financial/tech comms
