Reports to Senior Director of Talent Acquisition

About the Role

The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition leads a high‑performing team dedicated to attracting and hiring top talent for QXO’s branch operations. This role will primarily focus on recruiting professional salaried base talent across our 800+ and rapidly growing branch locations nationwide, which operate within warehouse and distribution environments.

This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and stakeholders. Operating within a player‑coach environment, the role balances team development, recruiting strategy, and process optimization while remaining hands‑on in supporting key and executive‑level searches as business needs evolve.

This leader will help develop and coach the recruiting team on proactive sourcing strategies, talent mapping, and building pipelines for hard‑to‑fill and niche leadership roles. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for scaling recruiting processes, optimizing systems and workflows, and driving consistent, high‑quality hiring results while serving as a trusted partner to senior operational leaders.

What you’ll do
  • Lead and Mentor: Manage and develop an experienced recruiting team, ensuring alignment with branch hiring goals and business priorities.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior operational leadership to forecast talent needs and design recruiting strategies that support company growth.
  • Deliver Excellence: Ensure the team provides exceptional candidate experience and efficient, inclusive hiring processes.
  • Monitor & Optimize: Track recruiting activity, metrics, and performance; implement adjustments to meet aggressive hiring targets.
  • Employer Branding: Support branding initiatives and represent QXO externally to attract top talent.
  • Hands‑On Leadership: Balance individual requisition ownership with team management responsibilities. This is a player‑coach role and will require ownership of a few executive‑level searches in addition to team leadership responsibilities.
  • Bring a strong sourcing and talent intelligence mindset, leveraging proactive outreach, talent mapping, market insights, networking, and pipeline development strategies to identify and engage top talent.
  • Drive Innovation: Implement scalable recruiting programs and process improvements to support high‑volume hiring.
  • Collaborate Cross‑Functionally: Work closely with HR and business leaders on workforce planning and talent strategies.
What you’ll bring
  • Experience: 8+ years in recruiting, including 5+ years in leadership role; proven success recruiting for exempt‑level positions within warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or operational environments.
  • Leadership: Strong people management skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
  • Expertise: Advanced knowledge of recruiting best practices, tools, and technologies; experience implementing scalable strategies in high‑growth environments.
  • Operational Hiring Knowledge: Understanding of warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or branch operations environments and the ability to recruit operational leadership talent.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in ATS platforms and recruiting analytics.
  • Influence: Ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Communication: Excellent organizational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Results Orientation: Track record of delivering against aggressive hiring goals while maintaining quality and candidate experience.
What You’ll Earn
  • 401(k) with employer match
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • PTO, company holidays, and parental leave
  • Paid training and certifications
