Job summary

Alexander Wang seeks a Sr. Manager of Product Development & Production, Sweater Knits to lead end-to-end development and bulk delivery from proto to finished goods.

You will partner with the Design Director of Sweater Knits to align development milestones and production, manage budgets, sourcing, and vendor relations. This role requires 6+ years in knitwear product development/production, strong knowledge of fully fashion sweater knitting, and proficiency with Excel and PLM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in product development and/or production in fully fashion sweater knits.
• Working knowledge of fully fashion sweater knitting, stitches, and machine capabilities.
• Excel, PLM platforms, image editing software with drawing tools.
• Eye for detail and strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Design Director of Sweater Knits to drive alignment across development and production milestones.
• Manage sourcing, development, counter sourcing of raw materials, and factory allocations.
• Monitor WIP and resolve delays, quality issues, or supply disruptions with factories and logistics.
• Oversee budgeting, invoices, and visibility with the finance team.
• Lead cross-functional coordination with Design, Production, Logistics, Merchandising, and Marketing.
• Attend yarn and vendor appointments to stay informed on collection quality and pricing.
