Job summary

Altria is seeking a Senior Planner, Logistics to join Operations Planning and Logistics in King of Prussia, PA or Richmond, VA. You will plan and secure materials for manufacturing and third-party supply, collaborating with internal partners to optimize costs and schedules.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing operations, a bachelor's degree (supply chain preferred), and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred; a degree or certification focused in supply chain is a plus.
Three to five years of experience in manufacturing operations, material planning and logistics, purchasing, or a supply chain management environment.
Strong attention to detail and well-developed analytical skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP required; experience building solutions with Microsoft Power Platform tools is a plus.
Effective communication skills that enable you to work with and influence a variety of internal and external partners.
Confidence to ask for help when you need it.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with supply chain partners to deliver cost-optimized supply chain plans and production schedules.
Plan and manage inventory levels based on budget, customer requirements, space constraints, and company initiatives.
Analyze and execute material requirements planning (MRP) and create/manage purchase orders to optimize costs.
Coordinate shipping schedules, generate export documents, issue invoices, and process credits for materials sold to third parties.
Proactively resolve supply chain issues across functions, balancing customer needs with regulatory and quality requirements.
Maintain master data in SAP and ensure inventory accuracy across systems.
Work with stakeholders to implement and report performance and location metrics for this area.
Contribute to strategic supply chain and Game Plan initiatives.
Support compliance activities related to business continuity, SOX controls, regulatory reporting, and audits.
