Job summary

Catalent’s Kansas City facility invites a Senior Manager, Supply Chain to lead a high-performing planning team, align production schedules with business goals, and optimize inventory to meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes capacity planning, S&OP execution, and development of visibility tools; daily production meetings and mentoring of staff are included.

You’ll work on DEA/APICS compliance and partner with cross-functional teams; a Bachelor’s plus 10+ years in pharma supply chain is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8-10 years in scientific or pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with DEA regulations and related compliance.
• 10-12 years in supply chain or logistics with progressive managerial responsibilities in production environments.
• CPIM and/or APICS certification preferred.
• Pharmaceutical regulatory audits experience (3-5 years) including DEA related regulations.
• Experience hosting client and internal inspections, including FDA inspections.
• Leadership experience at Catalent or related programs may substitute external experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop systems to make gaps between plan and actual performance visible to the organization.

• Manage the S&OP cycle to develop operating plans and production schedules aligned with goals.
• Oversee scheduling for machines, personnel, and materials and execute plans.
• Participate in daily production meetings.
• Manage inventory levels to support business objectives and customer needs.
• Provide training and development for direct and indirect reports.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Catalent’s Kansas City facility is home to our Oral & Specialty Drug Delivery, Biologics Analytical Services and Clinical Supply Services businesses.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Supply Chain to join our team. In this role, you will lead a high-performing planning team and ensure effective scheduling processes for successful site operations. You will develop systems to monitor performance, manage capacity planning, and oversee the Sales & Operations Planning cycle. This position plays a key role in aligning production schedules with business goals and ensuring inventory levels meet customer and operational needs.

The Role

• Manage the Sales & Operations Planning cycle to develop achievable operating plans and production schedules aligned with financial and performance goals.
• Oversee the development of schedules for machines, personnel, and materials, execute plans, and make results visible.
• Participate in daily production meetings.
• Manage inventory levels to support business objectives, manufacturing requirements, and customer needs.
• Provide training, mentoring, and development for direct and indirect reports.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

The Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge in a relevant field and 8-10 years of scientific or pharmaceutical industry experience.
• Experience in dealing with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and associated regulations.
• 10-12 years of supply chain or logistics experience with progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in a production environment.
• Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or APICS certification is preferred.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience and 3-5 years of experience in regulatory audits, including DEA and associated regulations.
• Experience hosting and leading client and internal inspections, including preparation, management, and follow-up for Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections.
• Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent (including but not limited to participation in Catalent‑sponsored leadership programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW) may be considered in place of external experience.
