Job summary

Avecia Pharma, Milford, OH, seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager to develop and execute strategy for site material planning, MRP, logistics, and inventory control. This role reports to the site General Manager and provides high visibility across the organization.

You will lead demand planning, master production scheduling, and procurement collaboration with Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Facilities to optimize costs, delivery, and schedule adherence while ensuring regulatory

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in supply chain management in GMP environments.
  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • APICS courses or certification desired.
  • Lean certification desired.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage site MRP and raw material delays.
  • Plan and coordinate material logistics, warehouse activities, and inventory control.
  • Lead demand planning, inventory management, and master production scheduling.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, and Engineering on optimization projects.
  • Support site audits and ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for master planning, site material planning, material movement logistics, inventory control, as well as onsite and offsite warehouse operations. Reporting to the site General Manager, the Senior Supply Chain Manager is a highly visible role which will bring subject matter expertise to help influence the overall strategy.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for development, maintenance, and managing the site MRP and any raw material delays.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all material logistics and warehouse activities (shipping, receiving, verification of release, and all inventory control) for the site meeting the company's business and regulatory objectives.
  • Leads demand planning, inventory management, master production schedule to ensure client success, schedule attainment, and capacity utilization.
  • Site procurement Rep who Develops, directs, and coordinates appropriate supply chain strategy in conjunction with Strategic Sourcing to maximize customer delivery requirements, resource optimization, supply security and schedule adherence while maintaining cost effectiveness and maximize profitability.
  • Actively partner with stakeholder departments such as Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, Quality Operations, Project Management, Engineering and Facilities to align and successfully execute supply chain optimization projects.
  • Own material management in Supply Chain for site audits.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor departmental objectives, budgets, and schedules including setting priorities and performance expectations while ensuring alignment with expected deliverables and Company objectives.
  • Lead and support strategic continuous improvement (Cl) portfolio related activities and projects ensuring alignment with the organizations mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Responsible for identification of material usage variances and the necessary adjustments required for the BOM and MRP.
  • Support proper utilization of ERP system (SAP), continuous improvement, SME rep
  • Leads the supply chain team in defining, executing, and monitoring best practices by measuring performance through routine analysis and reporting on agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) establishing countermeasures as required.
  • Works with planners, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up inter and intracompany transfers.
  • Assistand support the Milford SC team to align the sites and supply SAPexpertiseto both sites.

Job Knowledge/Experience/Education:

  • B.S. Degree with 10 or more years of supply chain management level experience in a GMP environment, with 5 or more years of management level experience.
  • A dynamic leader with a track record as an effective communicator with various organizations and management levels and uses a collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Experience managing an MRP / ERP system in a variety of different applications is required.
  • Specific APICS courses or certification related to Supply Chain Management is strongly desired.
  • Lean manufacturing certification and demonstration of the ability to apply standard lean tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency is strongly desired.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Office Suite of applications required

The annualized salary for this role is $125,100.00 - $147,600.00.
