Job summary

Protingent Staffing is seeking a Senior Manager for the Supplied Equipment Group, Reactor Equipment, to lead the Equipment Supply Managers and ensure safe, on-time delivery of critical reactor components.

The role focuses on supplier performance, collaboration with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement and Quality, and leadership across the Reactor Components group. Travel and senior oversight are intrinsic to the role.

Qualifications

• Technical degree required in mechanical, electrical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering.
• 10+ years of supplier management experience and interface.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Experience managing suppliers in design and manufacturing environments.
• Experience with contractual and commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
• Experience interfacing with engineering groups for supplier activities.
• Experience with project controls and related tools/processes.
• Broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Direct line management for Equipment Supply Managers (ESM) in the Reactor Components group.
• Coordinate with Reactor Supply Chain to ensure safe, timely delivery of reactor components.
• Coordinate with Fuel Supply & Development on fuel logistics delivery.
• Oversee supplier performance and oversight.
• Monitor supplier metrics for cost, schedule, quality and safety.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Quality, and Facilities to ensure compliance.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to ESMs.
• Ensure ESMs use project management tools to oversee suppliers.
• Collaborate with supplier management on contract and technical direction.
• Review statements of work and project planning for proper execution.
• Oversee supplier selection activities.
• Maintain awareness of supplier capabilities and relationships.

Position Title: Senior Manager, Supplied Equipment Group, Reactor Equipment

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting FTE Senior Manager, Supplied Equipment Group, Reactor Equipment opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

• The Senior Manager is the direct line manager for Equipment Supply Managers (ESM) assigned to the Reactor Components group.
• Interfaces with the Reactor Supply chain organization to ensure safe and timely delivery of equipment including but not limited to the Reactor Head, Reactor Vessel, Reactor Internals and associated components.
• Interfaces with the Reactor Fuel Supply & Development department to ensure safe and timely delivery of fuel supply logistics
• Ensure supplier performance management and oversight.
• Support monitoring of equipment supply chain to ensure cost, schedule, quality, and safety metrics are met.
• Interface with Project and Corporate teams including Engineering, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Quality, and Facilities to ensure compliance with procedures and processes for delivery of equipment.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to the Reactor Components group ESMs
• Ensure the Reactor Components group ESMs adhere to classic project management tools to oversee suppliers including cost, schedule, submittal oversight, and resources.
• Key collaborator with supplier management to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with supplier.
• Review statements of work (SOP) and project planning to ensure proper execution of supplier projects to meet program objectives.
• Oversee supplier selection activities
• Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes and relationships to ensure positive feedback to Reactor.

Job Qualifications

• Technical degree required (preferably in mechanical, electrical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering).
• 10+ years of experience in supplier management and interface.
• 3+ years of experience management people (in a related field preferred).
• Demonstrated skills in management of suppliers in design and manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated skills in supporting the contractual and commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
• Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
• Required experience with project controls and organization along with tools and processes to support the same.
• A broad understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and nuclear engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and a desire to foster teamwork.
• Actual position starting level will be based on assessment of qualifications.
• Travel Required: 25-50%.
