Job summary

The American Cancer Society is seeking a fundraising leader in Sacramento to manage a $400,000+ event portfolio. The role drives revenue through donors, sponsors, and volunteers and builds strong engagement across the donor pipeline.

You will lead planning and execution of event activities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and align participants with broader engagement opportunities while traveling as needed for portfolio coverage. Evening or weekend meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with at least 2 years of fundraising and relationship development experience.
• Experience in donor, sponsor, and volunteer engagement essential.
• Strong event planning, logistics, and budget management skills required.

Responsibilities

• Builds and manages relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners to achieve revenue goals and grow engagement.
• Leads planning and execution of event fundraising activities, including logistics, budgets, vendor coordination, and experience delivery.
• Develops and executes strategies to grow revenue, participation, and donor pipeline within the portfolio.
• Aligns event participants and partners to broader organizational engagement opportunities to deepen long-term impact.
• Monitors performance against goals and adjusts strategies to optimize revenue and ROI.
• Coordinates cross-functional partners to ensure successful event delivery and brand alignment.
• Experience/Qualifications: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree; Years of experience: 2 years successful fundraising and relationship development.
