Role Overview:

As the Manager - SOX, Business Process, you will drive Year 1 SOX 404(b) testing for business process internal controls over financial reporting. You will report to the Internal Audit Lead and oversee the SOX team, collaborating with business and IT partners across the company.

Ideal Candidate:

An ex-Big 4 professional with 5+ years’ experience in SOX testing within the Fintech or Software industry, excellent communication skills, and experience working remotely with offshore teams such as India and Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage SOX 404 testing projects, including timelines and budgets.
2. Identify and assess risks, perform materiality assessments, and document processes.
3. Evaluate internal controls' design and effectiveness.
4. Assist in controls implementation and testing procedures.
5. Ensure comprehensive business process documentation.
6. Manage project resources within budget and timeline constraints.
7. Review testing work and train control owners on SOX requirements.
8. Coordinate with external auditors to ensure alignment and address audit requests.
9. Contribute to ERM and Fraud Risk Management programs.
10. Provide coaching to junior team members and recommend process improvements.
11. Address control gaps, monitor action plans, and evaluate deficiencies.
12. Escalate and report control issues transparently.
13. Promote an ethical and risk-aware culture.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in business or technology.
2. Strong understanding of GAAP, COSO, and PCAOB standards.
3. Excellent judgment, analytical skills, and project management.
4. Leadership skills to mentor senior auditors.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
6. Effective communicator capable of explaining complex issues.
7. Proactive, independent, and ethical work style.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Senior Manager experience in Internal Audit/SOX, especially Year 1 404(b).
• Remote team collaboration experience.
• Experience managing SOX testing within budgets and timelines.
• Proficiency with Workiva, NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, Slack, GSuite.
• Certifications: CIA, CPA, CA, or CFE (preferred).
