About the Role:
The Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is responsible for leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic analysis activities. This role partners with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and drive business performance. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and leadership capabilities. Ability to communicate effectively & be able to work with respective teams in the establishment of targets and goals. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across all departments.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
- Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives, business cases, and investment decisions.
- Partner with department heads to evaluate financial performance and identify areas for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess financial risks and opportunities.
- Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Ensure data integrity across financial systems and reports.
- Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, tools, and reporting capabilities.
- Manage and mentor junior analysts, providing guidance and professional development.
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure accuracy in financial results and alignment on key reporting metrics.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or similar roles.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., Planful, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP, or similar).
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Planful preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in tech, healthcare, life science manufacturing companies.
- Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Leadership experience with direct reports.
Salary: $130k-150k/annually plus performance based bonus and equity
