Job summary

HP Inc. is seeking a Manager, Software Applications to lead a team responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting software applications across local, networked, and web platforms.

You will drive lifecycle health, coordinate with cross-functional partners, and ensure alignment with user needs and business goals. Responsibilities include defining strategy, delivering on sprints, and managing headcount, budgets, and vendor relationships while seeking process improvements and cost

Qualifications

• Four-year or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Typically 7-10 years of job-related experience or 5-7 years of management experience, preferably in applications engineering.
• Programming language certifications in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct leadership for a team of individual contributors designing and developing new products and updates.
• Defines and executes the technical strategy for software applications and evaluates technologies to optimize development.
• Manages the product delivery roadmap and develops sprints with engineering and product teams.
• Monitors and optimizes performance, scalability, and reliability of applications.
