Job summary

Kardigan is seeking a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting to lead quarterly/annual SEC filings, maintain SOX controls, and provide technical accounting leadership as the company scales as a public biopharmaceutical entity.

The role partners with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and other functions to ensure GAAP compliance, high-quality disclosures, and an effective internal control environment; prior biotech exposure is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or publicly traded company experience.
• Hands-on experience preparing and supporting SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
• Experience coordinating quarterly and annual reporting cycles in partnership with external auditors is strongly preferred.
• Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and technical accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, review, and coordination of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, earnings releases, and related disclosures.
• Provide technical accounting leadership on complex transactions and research accounting matters; prepare memoranda and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Lead and manage all aspects of the company’s SOX compliance program and internal control environment.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Accounting, FP&A, Legal, People Operations) to support business initiatives and governance.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting through automation and AI.
