Job summary

Motiva Enterprises LLC in Houston seeks an experienced Manager, Risk Management to lead the independent risk control function within the Middle Office. The role ensures the integrity of Motiva’s commercial supply portfolios through governance, robust exposure analytics, and proactive partnership with commercial stakeholders.

This on‑site position reports to the Director, Risk Management, Compliance & Hedging and leads a team of 3–4 risk professionals across four pillars: Supply & Trading

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or quantitative field.
• 10+ years in market risk, Middle Office, or commodity risk control.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Expertise in inventory and price-risk concepts including flat-price and spreads.
• Familiarity with multiple commodities and ETRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the independent second-line risk control function for all Motiva supply portfolios.
• Maintain and improve risk policies, standards, controls, and documentation.
• Enforce risk limits and governance requirements across the organization.
• Prepare materials for the Risk Committee and support audits.
• Oversee daily monitoring of inventory and market price risk exposures.
