Job summary

Clearway Energy Group seeks a Senior Manager, Energy Management to lead a team responsible for market and volumetric risk across a diverse asset portfolio. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 7+ years energy industry experience in portfolio optimization and risk management.
• Expert understanding of power markets (forwards, futures, swaps, options).
• Experience with Resource Adequacy, Capacity, electricity futures, and transmission hedging.
• Experience with ISDAs and credit support annexes in energy commodities.
• Experience with batteries, gas plants and related assets.
• Strong modeling and analytics capabilities; excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset hedging and optimization across the portfolio.
• Manage market portfolio exposure per policies and guidelines.
• Execute trades in real-time, day-ahead, week-ahead, and balance markets.
• Implement hedging strategies defined by the Director, Market Strategy.
• Mitigate risk for conventional assets through gas trading strategies.
• Develop and coordinate risk management structures with Origination/BD/Asset Management.
• Advance battery storage optimization within energy management scope.
• Monitor market fundamentals to inform trading decisions.
• Provide updates to stakeholders and financial partners.
