Job summary

Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC) seeks Associate Director, Revenue Administration to support the Director of Finance across philanthropy revenue, grants, and cash management. This role coordinates with program leaders, clinic and shelter managers, and philanthropy to strengthen internal controls and reporting.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in accounting/finance, at least seven years in nonprofit finance, and proven grant management experience; advanced Excel and ERP experience are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required.
• At least seven years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including accounts receivable, grant management and reconciliation.
• Experience managing grants or restricted funds, including expense tracking and reporting to funders.
• Experience reviewing revenue, payment transactions, deposits, and cash handling procedures across multiple locations or programs.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues with operational partners, and identify improvements to financial processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using an accounting or ERP system.
• Excellent organizational ability, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent work quality.
• Flexibility and initiative to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead reconciliation of Philanthropy revenue to Finance records and bank activity; resolve discrepancies with appropriate teams.
• Oversee grant accounting and financial monitoring of restricted funds; allocate expenses across programs and funding sources.
• Review grant agreements to identify financial restrictions, deliverables, and reporting deadlines.
