Job summary

Animal Care Centers of NYC seeks an experienced Associate Director, Revenue Administration to lead financial operations focused on philanthropic revenue, grants, and restricted funds across ACC. This role supervises the Finance Manager and liaises with program leaders, clinical operations, and shelter managers to strengthen revenue reporting and cash management controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field required.
• At least seven years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, including responsibility for accounts receivables, grant management and reconciliation required.
• Experience managing grants or restricted funds, including expense tracking and financial reporting to funders.
• Experience reviewing revenue, payment transactions, deposits, and cash handling procedures across multiple locations or programs.
• Ability to investigate discrepancies, resolve issues with operational partners, and identify improvements to financial processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience using an accounting or enterprise resource planning system.
• Excellent organizational ability, attention to detail and accuracy, ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain consistent work quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reconciliation of Philanthropy revenue to Finance records and bank activity, investigating and resolving discrepancies with the appropriate teams.
• Oversee grant accounting and the financial monitoring of restricted funds, including the proper allocation of expenses among programs, grants, and funding sources.
• Review grant agreements with leadership, program teams, and Philanthropy to identify financial restrictions, required deliverables, and reporting deadlines.
