Ameriprise Financial Inc. seeks a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to lead external and regulatory reporting for Ameriprise Bank and Ameriprise Financial, partnering with senior leadership on complex transactions and evolving regulatory requirements.

You will supervise quarterly regulatory filings, ensure GAAP disclosures, and drive control improvements while coordinating with internal partners to deliver high-quality financial information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of external or regulatory reporting experience in a financial services company.
• Proven ability to lead through change in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and review of external reports filed with regulators on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure Bank regulatory filings and SEC disclosures comply with FRB, OCC, SEC and GAAP.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality information supporting reporting.
• Manage Bank Holding Company regulatory filings and ensure alignment across filings.
• Review schedules and assist with ad-hoc projects like technical reporting research and financial statement analysis.
• Review and approve selected accounting journal entries for accuracy and control compliance.
• Participate in enterprise and bank initiatives, advising on accounting considerations and reporting impacts.
• Design and monitor internal controls over financial reporting and coordinate with internal auditors.
