Job summary

Spoonfuls Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Community Relations in Newton Center, MA to lead outreach, education, advocacy, and community engagement.

The role drives Spoonfuls' Public Affairs strategy, engaging with SLT and diverse partners to build partnerships, raise awareness, and advance funding for food recovery initiatives. The position reports to the Chief of Communications & Public Affairs and operates in a hybrid model, with in-person work at the Greater Boston office two days per week

Qualifications

• 5+ years' relevant experience at a Manager level or higher.
• Familiarity with legislative process and movement-building.
• Strong communication skills - verbal and written; public speaking experience preferred.
• Must be highly organized with strong project management experience.
• Comfortable building and maintaining relationships with diverse partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead community and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
• Position Spoonfuls as a trusted thought leader on food loss prevention and recovery.
• Develop strategies to raise awareness of Spoonfuls' work and opportunities to engage.
• Manage Public Affairs calendar and ensure representation at community meetings and events.
• Represent Spoonfuls in meetings, panels, schools and with media.
• Lead conversations with retailers, brands, officials to advance partnerships.
• Pitch and present to groups about Spoonfuls' work and calls to action.
