Job summary

Cornerstone Research seeks a Senior Manager, Compliance and Privacy to shape firmwide compliance and privacy strategy, develop policies, and lead risk-management initiatives. You will train staff, monitor regulatory developments, and partner with Legal/HR to enforce standards across matters and experts.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of directly related experience; prior experience in litigation and familiarity with expert discovery/disclosures strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctorate degree strongly preferred.
• Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) and/or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and recordkeeping.
• Ability to commute to Los Angeles, CA, or Washington, D.C., to comply with hybrid work policy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm's primary point of contact on privacy and compliance matters for practice group and firm leadership.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to prevent, detect, and address violations.
• Draft, modify, and monitor firm policies related to compliance and privacy.
• Monitor regulatory developments in privacy law and adjust firm policy accordingly.
• Develop training content on compliance topics and prepare risk bulletins.
• Own and refine the firm's expert disclosure checklist process and related reviews.
