Job summary

Bayhealth seeks an experienced revenue cycle leader to direct Epic SBO operations across its medical center and affiliates. You will supervise cash application, patient billing, collections, and financial counseling, ensuring accurate, compliant processes.

Responsibilities include staff development, performance reporting, internal controls, and collaboration with other departments to resolve issues and optimize cash flow.

Qualifications

• Five years in patient accounting, third-party reimbursement, or related field.
• Minimum of three years in a supervisor or leadership role.
• Experience in treasury management.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the assigned team and team members engaged in the department.
• Provides a goal-oriented work environment with clear procedures and objectives.
• Complete monthly rounding on direct reports and maintain logs for communication.
• Reviews QA results and provides education to address opportunities for improvement.
• Career development: ensure staff have knowledge/tools, identify top performers, and direct work accordingly.
• Manage Billing Support functions including oversight of uncompensated care and bad debt programs.
• Oversee Cash Application functions including payors, refunds, and unidentified payment resolution.
• Prepare performance reports and monitor effectiveness; implement action plans as needed.
• Review system change requests with proper validation and documentation.
• Adhere to internal controls and program requirements of accreditation and health plans.
• Conduct periodic meetings to maintain efficient operation.
• Participate in meetings and committees related to department functions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned within scope.
