Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a Senior Manager of Professional Billing and Revenue Cycle to lead physician billing operations, oversee vendors, and drive process improvements across the organization. You will partner with clinical operations and finance to optimize charge capture, claims resolution, and reimbursement from all payers.

The role requires 7+ years in professional billing leadership, a business/healthcare administration degree, and deep Epic system proficiency to sustain high

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field with at least 7 years in professional billing management.
• Experience in Physician Billing Organizations is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing policies, health insurance standards, and regulatory revenue cycle guidelines with ability to audit and train staff.
• Proficiency in collecting, organizing, and analyzing financial/operational data for actionable reports.
• Ability to lead multi-layered operations and delegate effectively in a resource-constrained environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Professional Billing Managers and workforce management activities.
• Partner with third-party billing vendors to optimize billing operations and reimbursement.
• Drive process improvement in physician revenue cycle for efficiency and financial performance.
• Monitor revenue KPIs, productivity, and service levels to meet targets.
• Act as liaison among physician practices, operational leaders, and Revenue Cycle departments.
• Identify and oversee workflow, technology, and automation improvements to boost efficiency and compliance.
• Evaluate automation opportunities to reduce administrative burden and scale operations.
